Leadership comes in many shapes, sizes and guises.

Yes, we all lead in some way and in certain situations, but I think there are people who are meant to be, or have outstanding leadership abilities. To begin with, you have to know how you feel about leading and what it takes to lead.

I look to our 44th president here in the US as my guide to being a good leader. Probably more his wife, but we elected him and his style, which was more rock star than band leader. He had — and has — plenty of style and he knows what’s right and true for himself and extends it out into the collective for a brighter future today and tomorrow.

But sometimes we can look to our past to find believing in disbelieving and one of the leaders I’ve found lived way back in the 1500s and had his own version of rock star style, though you wouldn’t know it from his portrait. Here’s my description from my book:
